Baby Shower Love

So I'm due February 24th with a little boy named Hudson Parker Scarff. I'm so stinkin' excited! We recently put together his shower which turned out being a great success with delish food and lots of good people, plus a hint of snow!

The shower theme was My Little Bird. we had a few other options like little gentleman and a woodland creatures but in the end I was really satisfied with our choice. My boyfriend Parker's mom hosted it at her house and handled the food which was great because she is an amazing cook!

Here was a simple evite via paperlesspost.com. I highly recommend this site if you're looking for an evite that you can really play around with and make your own. When you sign up you are given 25 free coins and stamps, and beyond that you pay 5 dollars for each. To me it felt worth it as its very easy to manage your guest list, make changes and of course personalize:

On the menu was:
Artichoke Frittata
Butter Lettuce
Avocado and Mandarin Salad
Vermicelli Shrimp Salad
and all kinds of bite size misc. desserts.. it was wonderful!

We chose to do two games and a optional craft considering organizing games for a large group of guest is a bit difficult. We ended up going with Guess Mamas Belly Size and Baby Bingo. My best friends little sister is a graphic design student and was able to whip up a cute little bingo board and we pinned numbers to each present and called out the number when it was opened. I think this was definitely preferable to baby item bingo.

For the craft we had everyone paint baby onsies and bibs! I actually got the idea via this blog post from the farmers nest. The prep work took quite a while but the cute and personal onsies I got from it was well worth it!

So like I said, success! We are so lucky to have had such a great group of people attend. Hudson is one lucky boy!
